Room 10 Primary 5

Good Morning Primary 5 and happy Friday!

Today is the last day before the Easter Holidays! 🐣💐🐰 Although it may not be what we had planned, I am glad that we are all safe and well and making the most of this challenging time.

This will also be the last day until the 20th April that I will be posting daily tasks. Please use the next two weeks as special time to relax with your family. Remember we are still adjusting to all of the changes and a break from school work is well deserved by all. This years break will be a little different than usual and if you are looking for some inspiration to do at home, check out our Easter Activities Grid . More importantly, stay safe 💖

Some suggestions for today from your home learning grid:

Literacy

  • Grammar – can you think of 10 verbs and write them in a super sentence? Better still, can you write the past and present tense of each verb e.g jump / jumping / jumped
  • Reading – can you find 4 tricky words from your ‘The Water Cycle’ book and use metalinguistics strategies to try and find out the meaning of the words. One word I found was ‘evaporation’ on page 6.
  • The EPIC Books site has lots of reading books to browse and read, choose a book you have not read before and spend 15-20minutes silent reading.

Numeracy

Today is the last day for Mrs Anderson’s Sumdog challenge. Can you beat yesterday’s accuracy in your answers? Who will be the schools champion 🏆🏆

If you do get up to anything exciting over the Spring Break, remember you can post a picture on the school Twitter.

Missing you all so so much, take care 💜

Good morning boys and girls

It’s the last day before our 2 week holiday ! I know it feels very strange and definitely not like a holiday but hopefully you will get to spend some time with your family over the next 2 weeks and make some lovely memories.

Later on today we will be posting an Easter grid with some ideas of activities to keep you busy.

Use today to complete this weeks grid and this weeks Sumdog competition.

Primary 4 to 7 Easter Grid

Good morning everybody,

We have created an Easter grid for you to ‘have a go’ at some of the challenges over the Spring break while you are off school for two weeks. The main aim is to have fun, enjoy yourself and spend time with your family whilst joining in with these activities. Colour in each activity as you do it so you can keep track of how many you have done. Maybe if you particularly enjoy a certain activity then you might want to do it again! Stay safe over the Spring break and we will speak to you in two weeks.
