Remember, only do what you can each day and if you want to show off your work post it on the School twitter or Email myself or Mrs MacFarlane. 😁
Another day of great learning ahead, I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather while it lasts 🌤😎it was great to see some of you getting creative with your spelling words and using chalk, stones and sticks to spell them outside. It is important to take a break from screen time, have a rest and get some fresh air.

Have fun, stay safe and I look forward to speaking to you soon 🌈💕
If you would like to share your work so I can see what you’re getting up to that would be great.
This week you should be getting your Glow log in details. Once you do have a look at our Teams page. I have uploaded the grids for the week and there are links to all of your online accounts. This means that we can all communicate in the one place and you can chat to your friends from our class! We will begin to use this more next week. 🗣⌨️
I know you are all keen readers so here is a challenge for this week. Have a go at reading bingo.
See how many you can cross off by the end of the week. 📚
Thinking of you all and hoping you are well and your loved ones are too. Continue to look out for little messages from me on your Study Ladder Accounts- I can now pop into our class and leave a comment for you. Some children are working really well through the activities. There are lots of revision activities but remember to refer to the Weekly Home Learning for the specific Maths/Numeracy tutorials and games linked to this week’s learning.
If you can, please join in the National Silence today at 11 am to remember those that have lost their lives while working to look after others in the NHS and Care Services.
Please continue to find extra ideas for links and suggestions for additional physical activity on the Blog more added today.
You should receive details about moving onto Glow Teams in the post this week and we will move onto this next week. We will then be able to chat online at specific times and you can have online chats/conversations with other children in our class. I am really looking forward to hearing how you all are!
A note to parents/carers-
The suggested activities are just that suggestions, participation is at your discretion, complete if you can and find it appropriate to do so. Many of you will have your own work to do at home and it can be difficult to juggle both. Please remember both you and your child’s mental health is most important during this difficult time.
Some suggestions for this coming week:
Please refer to the grid for daily suggestions for Literacy and Numeracy. Other curricular areas can be completed if this works for your family.
Phoneme- How many more words can you think of with this sound? A little easier than last week!
Can you read all the common words, ask an adult/sibling to trace them on your back with a finger, can you guess which word they have written?
Write Common Words out each once using Pyramid spelling eg.
h
he
hea
heat

Visualisor– Make a T-Chart like below.
Under each heading record as types/ways/places you might find ice inside and out in the wider world.

Art and Design
Use lines to create a patterned back ground. Colour the background if you would like to make your design more attractive. Then using a variety of recycled or new paper create shapes by cutting out to make the body parts for a bird. Glue your bird or birds to your patterned back ground.
Remember if you would like to leave a comment via Twitter, it would be lovely to hear from you! Hopefully soon we’ll be up and running on Glow Teams- look out for your login details arriving in the post this week!
Have a good day and remember these are just suggestions. Keep safe.
Computational thinking is about learning to solve problems, with or without a computer. These problem solving skills not only support the computing curriculum in primary school, but also play a part in other subjects, from maths to PE, and can even be applied in everyday life! Hi everyone. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the lovely sunshine. I spent a lot of time in the garden reading and doing some exercises with my family. I also enjoyed going out walking with my daughter. Miss Thomson and I have put up your learning grid for this week so hopefully you will be able to do some of the activities on it. Remember we have set new tasks for this week on Studyladder as well. Have a good day. From Mrs Ruddy

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the lovely sunshine! 🙂 I had a great time working in the garden and planting some new shrubs and flowers. I even put some fairy lights around my cherry blossom tree. It looked lovely sparkling in the dark! 🙂 Fingers crossed we have some lovely weather this week too!
Take some time to have a look over our Home Learning Grid with someone at home. Remember you should try to choose a couple of things to do each day if you can. I think you’ll really enjoy this week’s ESPRESSO CHALLENGE . 🙂
Note to parents/carers
The attached grid is designed to support learning at home but activities are merely suggestions. I know your child will be engaged in a range of activities at home which are fun, active and support their learning, development of life skills and emotional health. We fully appreciate the demands of Home Learning and your family’s health and well-being is most important at this time. Please only do what you feel your child is able to manage at any given time. 🙂
Do you remember we read Dr Seuss’ Book called Bartholomew and the Oobleck? If you feel like some messy play today why not try this recipe for goop or oobleck as Dr Seuss calls it? Enjoy!
I hope you have a lovely day!
Remember to try to go outside for some fresh air and exercise if you can. Enjoy that lovely sunshine! 🙂
Take care and remember…try to make someone at home laugh or smile today. 🙂
