Health Week Day 5

Good morning everyone,

It is the final day of our Health Week and as much as we all wish we could have been in school to for this, it has been lovely to see what you have been up to at home with all the family getting involved.

Despite the miserable weather we still managed to smash our 290mile target and made it to John o’ Groats with 320miles covered so well done to everyone who has taken part this week.

Here are some extra activities you can try today:

Tuck In Tuck Out Challenge

Tap Up Tennis Challenge

Super Slalom Run Challenge

Squat Jump Challenge

Speed Bounce Challenge

Socks in the Box

Finally, I would just like to thank everyone that has supported our Health Week this week; the pupils for taking part with enthusiasm, the parents who we rely on so much right now for their continued support and encouragement, Active Schools and all the staff at Muir Street for coming together with ideas to try and make this week a success. Well done to all involved.

Tuesday 2nd June

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. It was such a beautiful day yesterday. We hope you got outside and spent some time enjoying the sun.

This week’s home learning is different because it is Health Week. It was great to see many of you yesterday posting photos on Teams showing some of the Health Week activities you are doing. Your messages and photos make all the staff smile. We are happy that you all seem to be enjoying the Health Week activities.

Mrs Early has posted some new activities today and your teachers have added more activities on Teams or emailed you with them. Have fun trying them and let us know how you are getting on.

Remember you can keep in touch with us on Teams or by email. If you need any help with anything, let us know and we will get back to you.

Have a great day and keep healthy!

Love from all the staff at Muir Street.

Hello everyone,

We saw some great activities going on for Health Week yesterday, lots of exercise and healthy snacks. We hope you are all enjoying the health and wellbeing focus this week. Your brain works better when your body and mind are  healthy.

Here are some extra activities you could try today:

Around the World Challenge

If you missed it yesterday why not try some of the exercises your teachers like to use to keep fit a home too.

We haven’t made it very far with our walking challenge so let’s get clocking up those miles. 290 miles is our target. WE CAN DO IT.💪💪

Primary 7-Room 13 and 14

Good Morning Room 13 and 14 and Happy Health Week!
As you may already know, this week is health week. This means that this week’s grid is all about health and wellbeing activities, which I think you will enjoy! Please read through the health grid attached and choose a few activities to do each day. Remember to stay in touch with us and let us know how you are getting on. Please also choose some activities to do from last week’s sport grid (also attached) to do.
In addition to this, we have set spelling and symmetry work on Sumdog and data and graph work on Study ladder.
We would also like to remind you that the second transition activity, which is all about the difference between primary and secondary school, is due on Friday.
We would also like to give you the opportunity to write a graduation speech as you would normally do at the end of your Primary 7 year. Have a think about what you might like to include in your speech and we will send some examples and more instructions for this tomorrow.
For now, stay safe, take care, keep in touch and enjoy the sunshine ☀️ 😎
