Muir Street Eco Committee
The Eco Committee has been busy completing our 2013-15 Action Plan. We focused on Litter, Food and the Environment and Biodiversity.
We have litter monitors who keep an eye on the littering in and out of school, we also had a competition to design a new Litter Mascot.
For Food and the Environment, may classes learned all about farming and how our food gets to our plate. We have also had trips to the farm and visits from a farmer!
The Eco Committee recently celebrated all things biodiversity by hosting an afternoon with the infant department where they led activities such as bug hunts, bug collage, the insect Olympics and planting seeds.
It was a great success and the infants learned lots while having great fun!
The Eco Committee will be reviewing the Action Plan in August and hope to have 2 new topics to concentrate on over the next two years!
