Good morning Primary 5,

Another day of great learning ahead, I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather while it lasts  🌤😎it was great to see some of you getting creative with your spelling words and using chalk, stones and sticks to spell them outside. It is important to take a break from screen time, have a rest and get some fresh air.

Keep referring to this weeks Home Learning Grid for your daily activities, I’d love to see some of the tasks you do!

Literacy

  • Spend 10-15minutes working through the activities on Spelling City. Take care when writing your sentences and spelling paragraph, don’t forget punctuation! Remember I will be able to see your progress. Aim high 🌟
  • Write a letter to a superhero of your choice asking them for their help with something. In the letter, you must use all of your spelling words.
  • Listen to chapters 9-11 of David Walliam’s book online – Fing – Chapters 9-11. Write a short summary of the story so far.

Maths

  • Join our class 🏆Sumdog Challenge🏆 This week the focus is times tables, there are gold coins up for grabs!
  • For every day this week, write down the time the sun sets at. What do you notice? Why do you think this is? 🌄🌞

Topic

  • Our new topic this term was going to be ‘The Titanic’ which would have been very interesting!
  • Write down anything you already know about the Titanic and a few things you would like to find out.

Health & Well-being

  • Stay active by challenging yourself and a family member to today’s Body Coach workout live at 9am. Can you get a shoutout from Joe?
  • Remember you can catch up with all of his workout videos on his YouTube channel.

Whatever you manage to do today, remember that you are doing your best and be kind to yourself and your mind.

Have fun, stay safe and I look forward to speaking to you soon 🌈💕
