Mr Finnon I thought the video was really good because I did not think Pope John Paul would come to this country
Hi Mr Finnon, the clip was very fun and interesting I really enjoyed it. What I observed was that the people were very happy and there was a huge crowd, some were waving Scottish flags others Polish. I noticed some people were wearing Polish National wear, the reason is because PJP came from Poland. For me it didn’t look quite much look like a mass for me it was like watching a football match.
I saw lots of happy faces cause Pope John Paul had came to Scotland the first time. If I was there I would be so excited and thank full that he came to see us. They sang lots of songs and football songs.
We watched a clip in class today of Pope John Paul II visit to Bellahouston Park,Glasgow on 1st June,1982.
On arrival by helicopter he was greeted by 300,000 cheering,applauding people!!All anticipating the Pope’s arrival.Everyone looked so happy to be there, taking part in such a great occasion.
Had I been present I would have felt very proud and excited to attend a mass celebrated by Pope John Paul himself.It would have been a great privilege !!
Mr Finnon I thought the video was really good , because there were 300,000 happy applauding people in the crowd to see Pope John Paul. They were all exited and I didn’t see anyone who was sad. If I were there I’d be the same because that was the first time a Pope came to this country!
As soon as i saw that that people we so happy and cheering i wanted to go so bad and it was great that he done mass and came to SCOTLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!. I found out my mum was going to go but got the chicken pocks so her sister and her brother and her dad got to go while she was sick .
I think I would have felt excited and proud at being part of that special day.
I saw the cheering crowds the excited faces and I heard the lovely singing. Also they were happy at seeing Pope John Paul for the first time celebrating Mass.
I thought this would have been a privilege for anyone who seen it, for nobody would have expected this to happen .
Hi Mr Finnon. I watched the video clip and I thought it was very interesting and I also saw that alot of people were very happy to be at the occasion. I noticed that there was alot of singing of hymns and also a few football songs. Pope John Paul II arrived in front of more than 300,000 people and driven around Bellahouston park in his popemobie blessing every one.

I have never seen a cloud that big before and I never thought the Pope would visit Scotland.It was also interesting .
I think it was a big day and if i had been there I would feel strange because I have never seen so many people. If a pope ever comes again the day could possibly much bigger. It was also different from any of masses ive been to.
