Tuesday 28 February and Wednesday 1 March 2023<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"block-north-lanarkshire-content\">\n<div class=\"ace-node-council-information-page ace-branded-page\">\n<div class=\"ace-content\">\n<div class=\"ace-page-main-content ace-width-1-1\">\n<div class=\"ace-leading-paragraph\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ace-content-paragraphs\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"ace-paragraph-banner\">\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/1500x600_scale_crop\/public\/2022-08\/Web%20banner_general_1.jpg?itok=NkI_dFIi\" alt=\"Industrial action waste\" width=\"1500\" height=\"600\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"ace-paragraph-basic-paragraph\">\n<div class=\"ace-field-body\">\n<p>Further industrial action over the national pay offer has been announced by teacher unions, the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), the Scottish Secondary Teachers\u2019 Association (SSTA) and the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) on<strong>\u00a0Tuesday 28 February and Wednesday 1 March 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>All primary, secondary and ASN schools will be\u00a0<strong>closed\u00a0<\/strong>to pupils.<\/li>\n<li>Some of the term-time, school-based nursery classes will be<strong>\u00a0closed<\/strong>\u00a0to pupils.*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Due to the Association of Headteachers and Deputes in Scotland (AHDS) withdrawing from participating in industrial action, the following term-time, school-based nursery classes\u00a0<strong>will be open<\/strong>\u00a0on Tuesday 28 February and Wednesday 1 March:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alexander Peden<\/li>\n<li>Cambusnethan<\/li>\n<li>Corpus Christi<\/li>\n<li>Mossend<\/li>\n<li>Muirhouse<\/li>\n<li>New Monkland<\/li>\n<li>St Aidan&#8217;s (only 3-5 room)<\/li>\n<li>St John Paul II<\/li>\n<li>St Thomas<\/li>\n<li>Tannochside<\/li>\n<li>Tollbrae<\/li>\n<li>Townhead<\/li>\n<li>Westfield<\/li>\n<li>Woodlands<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Please note that this is a fluid situation and this page will be updated.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 23 family learning centres and 23 full-time nurseries will remain open on both days.<\/p>\n<p>The intended school closures may mean that you will need to consider additional childcare arrangements over these dates.<\/p>\n<p>There will\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0be any school meal provision on site and school transport will not be running on the outlined dates of intended strike action on 28 February and 1 March.<\/p>\n<p>Families in receipt of free school meals based on low income will be reimbursed through a direct payment to bank accounts\u00a0or via Paypoint voucher to postal addresses\u00a0which may take up to five working days.<\/p>\n<p>This is a situation that may be subject to change and parents\/carers will be informed at the first opportunity if there are further changes to the school day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/industrial-action-tuesday-28-february-and-wednesday-1-march-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NLC Website &#8211;
