Kirkshaws were recently shortlisted for the Celebration of Scottish Science and Engineering awards.  Representatives from our Eco Commitee, along with Mrs McBain, created a winning presentation on how our school saves energy. The pupils also took part in a series of science challenges as well as investigating the Glasgow Science Centre where the day was hosted. As well as winning the coveted title at the awards ceremony, the school received a cheque for £250. A photograph of the awards ceremony was also put into the Airdrie and Coatbridge Advertiser.
