Dress Down Day
Since it is the last day of term school uniform does not need to be worn. A reminder that the school will close at 1pm on Thursday the 28th June.

Joseph Success
This morning the Kirkshaws Drama Club performed an excerpt from the Musical ‘Joseph and his Techicolour Dreamcoat’ to a selection of classes as well as parents and friends. I’m sure everyone will agree what a fabulous success it was. We look forward to next years ventures in Music and Drama.

Grand Graduations
Congratulations to all of our nursery Graduates. You all sang so well and how smart out leavers looked in their graduation capes and hats. Everyone enjoyed their special snack and got the opportunity to take lots of photographs – the mums and dads even had time for tea and cakes! Good luck to all of our children starting primary 1 after the school summer break and we look forward to all of our returners joining us again in August. We hope you all had a lovely time.
MSP Visit
Primary 6 were visited today be Elaine Smith MSP to congratulate them on the fantastic letters they send to her after their visit to the Scottish Parliament. She highly commended them on their writing skills and their conduct during their visit. 3 children were awarded a prize for effort as well as everyone recieving a personalised letter of thanks.
Family Fun Night Success
The Family Fun Night, hosted by the Kirkshaws Primary School and Nursery Class Fundraisers, on Friday the 22nd June raised an amazing £423.90. A great night was had by all. We look forward to our next fun night.

A year of ‘Fun’ Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee have worked tirelessly this year to raise funds for Kirkshaws Primary School and Nursery Class. The list of event and activities is almost endless but they include, Hallowe’en Disco, Coffee Mornings, Christmas and Easter raffles, Family Fun Night and The Summer Fete.
Their contributions have made a real difference to the opportunities our children have been given at Kirkshaws this year including – Paying for Christmas and graduation gifts for all of the nursery children, providing tea and cakes at the graduations,P7 Leavers gift, P7 Bowling trip as well as subsidising nursery and whole school trips ( the reason our cinema outing only cost £1!!)
A massive thank you and congratulations from everyone in the Kirkshaws family for the effort and time given. We look forward to supporting you all again next year.
Lunch Provision -Thursday 28th June
On Thursday the 28th of June there will only be Pack-a-Snacks provided to those children who order one that morning. This is due to the school closing early at 1pm on Thursday. Lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday are as normal.
Cinema Fun
Today (25th June) the whole school went to the Cinema. The infants saw ‘TOP CAT’ and the seniors saw ‘Men in Black 3’. Everyone had a wonderful time – just what we all needed to get us into the holiday mood.
