I have found Tier 2 very interesting and informative. I would now like support adapting the ML dept. Glow groups uploading MP3 files and videp clips to help pupils learn the language. I would also like to be able to log pupil progress within the department in the form of pupil profiles. I also hope to pass on my new found knowledge onto other members of the dept. so that they can also benefit from Glow.

Once I have figured out how to do it, I will invite you to visit my blog and add comments regarding my efforts in the ‘Movemeber’ campaign.
Today has been interesting in terms of sparking ideas for my Glow groups.
In Tier 3 I would like to build on the develoment needs of the Tier 2 staff. There is also some Departments who would appreciate some support in establishing Glow groups and generally welcome ideas on how to enhance teaching and learning in their departments.
We also have an opportunity to sell the importance of Glow to Germany! Details later 😉

In tier 3 i would like support on how best to introduce self evaluation onto my pages for the pupils and how to record their results for teacher use.

My main aims for Glow are: –
1. Setting up a Glow group for all the curricular areas with Chemistry.
2. Using blogs and e-portfolios to make ppa/practical technique write ups easier to collate.
Steve Clulow – Greenfaulds DofE Awards
I am very interested in utilising the Blog feature of Glow to allow pupils undertaking DofE awards to be able to record / save evidence of their participation in the four major areas of volunteering/skills/physical/expedition and share their experiences with the course supervisors and their peers.
This will prove to be an invaluable tool – as I intend to teach them all advanced ICT skills to set up video diaries / blogs / presentations as the main skills section at Bronze level and then get them to utilise their skills as they advance through the award levels to deliver/create lessons / tutorials on completing the four sections to the younger pupils that participate in the scheme.

I intend to use Glow for the following purposes:
P7/S1 transition. A glow group will be set up to allow P7 pupils to access information on GHS providing them with information on the school and set up blogs for discussions between P7, S1 and S6 pupils and staff.
E-profiling. Accessing pupil information and achievements within and out with school. Commenting on their work.
