The Eco Committee have been hard at work each week emptying the recycling bins with the help of Mrs Scroggie. They have also been encouraging us to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Our Eco Committee donned their yellow vests and their litter pickers and carried out a clean up of the school grounds as part of the ‘Litter Less’ campaign. We hope that you will agree that the school looks much better after their hard work and we will all work hard to keep it clean. Out Little Litter Pickers have also been working hard every lunch time to keep our playground tidy. Well done boys and girls!

As part of our school Summer Fete, we ran a competition to design an eco bag. The winning bag was then produced and sold at the fete. The winning design was chosen by Mrs Di Nardo and the Eco Committee and it was very popular at the summer fete.

Our Primary 3’s planted strawberries and sunflowers in their raised bed in June this year. Well done for all of your hard work, they looked amazing!

Members of our Eco Committee represented the school at a Eco School’s Cluster meeting in February. They spent the morning at Redburn Primary where the children worked together to make bird feeders and to share their experiences.
