Last week we had great fun at the fancy dress party. We danced, played games, had a special snack, as well as dooking for apples. The costumes were fantastic! Have a look.
Autumn in the nursery garden.
The children in the nursery are beginning to notice the changes that the season of Autumn brings, especially in the nursery garden. The autumn winds have blown in litter and lots of leaves have fell from the trees, making our garden a mess. Thankfully, the children were on hand to tidy it up.

Come Play Week
This week is our Come Play Week. This gives the children the opportunity to show their families around our nursery and have fun playing together. Thank you to all the parents and family members who have attended. If you haven’t managed along yet, there is still time on Wednesday and Thursday, from 10.30 in the morning and from 2.00 in the afternoon.
Data Analysis
This week, the children have been busy gathering information using checklists. The aim was to find out about the different colours of hair and eyes in the nursery. We then made a chart to display our findings.
Tennis Skills
We are having lots of fun in the gym hall with Dean, the tennis coach. We are developing our spatial awareness, as well as our hand eye coordination.
The Listening Lot
As part of the Three Read Approach, the children have been busy learning about the Listening Lot characters, Lizzie Listen, Eileen Eyes, Wendy Wait, Stevie Still, Robbie Remember and Tommy Talk. These characters will help the children to develop their listening skills. The children had fun drawing their favourites.
Healthy Me
We have had a busy week learning all about ‘Healthy Me’. We had great fun looking at the emotions happy, sad and anger, copying these facial expressions and drawing them too. We also had great fun listening to and singing along to songs about our body parts.
Welcome back
We hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday. It is great to see our returning children again. They have all grown so much during the holidays and are loving being positive role models for our new children. Our new topic is Healthy Me. Lots of pictures and learning to follow. Keep tuned in!
Calderglen Country Park
Yesterday, we had a fabulous time on our school trip. We had so much fun at the park, especially Miss Shepherd on those slides! The weather was fantastic and there was lots of interesting animals to look at too. Have a look.
Sports Day
After weeks of practising, the children competed in a variety of races, as part of our sports day. We tried really hard and had great fun. Thank you to all family members who came along to show their support.
