The sun has finally arrived!

Please help us ensure your child’s safety while playing outdoors by applying sun cream prior to their session and providing a sun cap / sun glasses for your child.

Due to the possibility of sensitive skin reactions, the nursery staff are not able to provide sun cream for your child, however if necessary we can re-apply their own cream throughout the session.

Thank you for your support, and let’s hope the sun stays a while! 🙂

A big thank you to all the parents who were able to attend out health eating workshop. The children had a great time creating their fruit faces and delicious smoothies!

We hope you took away some useful hints and tips (as well as free games and books!) and enjoyed some time to chat and share ideas with other parents.

After a hugely successful rain-forest topic, we will now be moving on to our new topic(s) of Easter and Spring. Your child will engage in a range of different activities which will help them develop skills and knowledge withing the following CfE Experiences and Outcomes:

Numeracy:  I am aware of how routines and events in my world link with times and seasons, and have explored ways to record and display these using clocks, calendars and other methods.

Literacy: I enjoy exploring and playing with the patterns and sounds of language, and can use what I learn.

Health and Well-being: I am learning about where living things come from and about how they grow, develop and are nurtured.

Religious and Moral Education: As I explore Christian stories, images, music and poems, I am becoming familiar with some beliefs Christian people have about God and Jesus.

Science: I have helped to grow plants and can name their basic parts. I can talk about how they grow and what I need to do to look after them.

We created this fantastic map of some of the continents. We used our animal atlas to place the animals in their correct habitat. 

We have really enjoyed creating our own Rain-forests from junk modeling materials. We have learned all about the different layers of the rain-forest and were able to correctly place the animals in their layers.
