Doodle Buddy

At the training we recommended the free Art App Doodle Buddy as being useful. The app however was not working well in iOS7. There has recently been an update available for this app (20th December 2013) that seems to have fixed all the previous bugs.

Very simple, easy to use art package.

Training Documents

Some nurseries asked if they could have a copy of the skills and Apps sheets that we used during the Early Years iPad training.

Below are copies of the 2 Word documents.

You may wish to print out a copy of them if you are undertaking training with your own staff.

Have also attached a pdf copy of each document incase you do not have the latest version of Word on your computer.

Protecting the iPad

The iGuy covers that were ordered for the Early years iPad project are now at the Computer Centre.

When staff come for the training session we will issue you with the required number of covers for your iPad minis.

If you have already been for a training session and left the session early you can arrange to come to the Centre to collect your cover(s).

Projecting your iPad

You can use a cable, the Lightning to VGA Adapter (UK) is the one you want for an iPad Mini or the iPad 4. £27.58

For the iPad 2 you want the Apple 30-pin to VGA Adapter £17.72

Or you can download an application that runs on your mac or pc.

This allows the computer to act as a Apple TV and you can project wirelessly to the computer and connect the computer to a projector in the usual way.
