Storytelling With Gerry – Teachers’ Views

Miss Glavin – I liked that the children created their own story.

Ms Graham – The children of P5/4 were engrossed from start to finish. Spontaneous responses (verbal and non verbal) indicated they were fully engaged in the tales and activities. Many thanks to Gerry for a very pleasant afternoon.

Mrs LeBlond – What a great experience for the children. Gerry’s stories had them hooked. The fact that Gerry gave them the opportunity to produce a story together was super, the children are still talking about it.

Mrs Herron – The session was good fun, the children really enjoyed it.

Storytelling With Gerry

I have managed to sit in with a few classes over the last week and have been delighted with the children’s enthusiasm and participation in the activities. Gerry is able to adapt his teaching to respond instantaneously to the children’s responses and their level of understanding. It has been a pleasure to watch. Here are a few comments from both teachers and adults;

Anna P5 – Storytelling with Gerry is the best session I had this week. We had a lot of great laughs with Gerry and he told us some fantastic stories. He also gave us some great tips to help us make up our own stories.

Taylor P3 – When we were playing suddenly we made up a great story.

Anna Rose P1 – I liked talking about spring.

Reece P5 – Storytelling with Gerry was nothing like I had imagined. I think it was the best session of the week.

Matthew P1 – I enjoyed meeting Gerry. I liked Flubbaday, he was funny.
