We welcome new members to all of our meetings. Those who wish to help out at events are also encouraged to contact us.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the following parents serve on the various groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parent Council<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chair \u2013 Mrs Annette Burbridge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Secretary \u2013 Mrs Armstrong<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Treasurer \u2013 Mrs Lorraine McFarland<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Church rep \u2013 Mrs Rachael Curran<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teacher rep \u2013 Mr Martin McKenna and Mrs Jacqueline McLees<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professional Adviser \u2013 Mrs Marie Tierney<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Parent Council\u2019s Rights and Duties will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0supporting the work of the school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0representing the views of parents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consulting with parents and reporting back to the Parent Forum on matters of interest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the wider community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>taking part in the selection of senior promoted staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>receiving reports from the head teacher and education authority, and receiving an annual budget for administration, training and other expenses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improving home-school partnerships and facilitating parental involvement\u00a0\u00a0A Parent Council Constitution has been formulated in consultation with staff and parents. It is available from the school and is on display in each of the school buildings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of Parent Councils, on a voluntary basis, may also have an advisory role in decisions on placing requests by parents in respect of those situations where the number of placing requests for a particular school or for a particular stage in a particular school exceeds the number of places available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Parent Council Constitution has been formulated in consultation with staff and parents.&nbsp; It is available from the school and is on display in each of the school buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parent Forum<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>All parents\/carers of children in our school&nbsp; are automatically members of the Parent Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Parent Forum is composed of all the parents and carers of children at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a member of the Parent Forum you can expect to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>get information about what your child is learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>get information about events and activities at the school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>get advice\/help on how you can support your child\u2019s learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be told about opportunities to be involved in the school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a say in selecting a Parent Council to work on behalf of all parents at the school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be invited to identify issues for the Parent Council to work on with the school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a very active Parent Council that serves both School and Nursery.
