New life in the Nursery

May 18, 2016 by User deactivated | 0 comments

We have been finding out about where living things come from. the children have planted beans and they have grown really quickly. So quickly, we have had to put them in bigger pots. Some of the children have planted sunflower seeds and taken them home to look after.
Last week Jimmy the Egg Man came to visit and brought with him 12 eggs which we put into the incubator to keep warm. Every egg has a number and the children decided to make a chart showing which egg belonged to which child. I wonder whose egg will hatch first! We have to check the incubator every day to make sure it is at the right temperature.
Our caterpillars have finally turned into chrysalis! We are a little behind Mrs Bowden’s class as they have turned into butterflies already.
We thought it would be a good idea to make some signs in case anyone wants to come and visit our wee creatures in the nursery.
