Assembly 30th August 2013

Last Friday at our Assembly, we learned that we will be supporting two charities this year.  The first is St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie (read more about their work here) and also a charity which is new to us, PAT – Pets As Therapy. You can read more about the valuable work they do on their website. Staff and pupils look forward to doing all they can to help raise funds and awareness for our chosen causes.

We always celebrate two of the four capacities of  Curriculum for Excellence at assembly and this week, awards were given to Effective Contributors and Confident Individuals. The pupils fulfilling these capacities  had shown  a variety of qualities such as, an ability to work well with others as part of a group and the confidence to support their peers in challenging tasks. Congratulations to all who received certificates.
