Here are 10 potential approaches which you could use to further involve yourself in your child’s learning journey.<\/p>\n

  1. Get to know your child\u2019s Pupil Support Teacher.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Talk to your child regularly about his or her studies.<\/strong>
    \nGet to know which subjects they like or dislike, and why. Make sure that you know which levels they are studying at, and what their plans are for future study.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Monitor your child\u2019s behaviour closely and let us know if you see a problem developing.<\/strong>
    \nTo help you, use the Homework Diary, Tracking Reports and Annual Reports, and above all come to the Parent\u2019s Meetings.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Tell your child\u2019s Pupil Support Teacher about any concerns you might have about your child\u2019s progress.<\/strong>
    \nIf you contact the school on any matter, please leave your name so that we can follow up any concerns you have.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Look at your child’s\u00a0Homework Diary\/Planner.<\/strong>
    \nEach pupil is given one at the start of each session.\u00a0 <\/span>
    \nMake sure that he or she is still using it, and sign it.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Check the Homework Guide in the Handbook\/Website.<\/strong>
    \nLet your child\u2019s Pupil Support Teacher know if your child does not seem to be getting enough homework.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Take a look at our School Aims, and let us know what you think.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Complete any questionnaire that you might be offered at Parents\u2019 Evenings<\/strong>.
