In June 2025, Cambusnethan Primary was awarded the Digital Schools Scotland Award<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are delighted that all the great work our pupils do our digital learning has been recognised in this way.<\/p>\n

Digital Schools Awards Scotland is a national awards programme which aims to promote, recognise and encourage a whole school approach to the use of digital technology in primary and secondary schools.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Schools that successfully complete the programme will receive a nationally recognised Digital Schools Award accredited by Education Scotland. The 3 step programme has been developed to help schools assess progress and recognise excellence in the use of digital technology at primary and secondary level while providing practical support and encouragement. The programme is supported by industry partners HP, Microsoft and Intel in Scotland.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We also achieved the Equitable Creative Coding Award, recognising innovative and inclusive approaches to computational thinking and coding. As part of the Digital Schools Awards Scotland initiative, ECCo celebrates work in schools to integrate coding into the curriculum and aligns with the principles of the Curriculum for Excellence.<\/p>\n

At primary school level, the Equitable Creative Coding Award focuses on laying the foundation for computational thinking and coding skills through a variety of both unplugged and plugged learning experiences that inspire creativity, critical thinking and collaboration, setting students on a path for lifelong learning and discovery.<\/p>\n

The Equitable Creative Coding Award holds significant importance for our school and reaffirms our school\u2019s commitment to fostering problem-solving, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills in our pupils. By embedding these skills into our curriculum and extracurricular activities, we aim to empower pupil to explore, create, and innovate in an increasingly digital world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
