It also says that governments are required to meet children\u2019s basic needs and help them reach their full potential.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The UNCRC says that every child has basic fundamental rights.<\/p>\n<p>These include the right to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Life, survival and development<\/li>\n<li>Protection from violence, abuse or neglect<\/li>\n<li>An education that enables children to fulfil their potential<\/li>\n<li>Be raised by, or have a relationship with, their parents<\/li>\n<li>Express their opinions and be listened to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is important to remember the<strong>\u00a0ABCDE<\/strong>\u00a0of rights!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A: Rights are for <strong>ALL<\/strong>\u00a0children.\u00a0<em>Universal<\/em><\/li>\n<li>B: Rights are there at<strong>\u00a0BIRTH<\/strong>.\u00a0<em>Inherent<\/em><\/li>\n<li>C: Rights <strong>CANNOT<\/strong>\u00a0be taken away.\u00a0<em>Inalienable<\/em><\/li>\n<li>D: Rights <strong>DO NOT<\/strong>\u00a0have to be earnt.\u00a0<em>Unconditional<\/em><\/li>\n<li>E: All rights are <strong>EQUALLY<\/strong>\u00a0important.\u00a0<em>Indivisible<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information can be found out about the UNCRC and the work of UNICEF can be read <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org.uk\/what-we-do\/un-convention-child-rights\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) is a legally binding international agreement that most countries in the world have signed up to and it sets out the rights of every child.
