The Wild About Scotland bus visited us today! On the bus, the children from all of the classes got a chance to learn about some native Scottish animals, in particular beavers and wildcats. It was a very informative and enjoyable day!
Members of our Eco committee and Pupil Voice group visited a local recycling centre. We toured the plant and learned all about the recycling processes they use.
We all enjoyed the yoga during Eco week. We learned how important good breathing, balance and relaxation is for the body.
P4-7 pupils were finding out about the sugar content in a range of popular foods and drinks. We discovered that there are over 52 different terms/names for sugar and it is often difficult to tell how much sugar is in many of our favourite drinks and snacks.
We started our Eco week on Monday with a visit from St Andrew’s Hospice.
We also  had First Aid training for P6/7 with our St. Andrew’s Ambulance trainer, Ralph and a woodland walk with our  NLC Forest Ranger, Jackie.
