Congratulations to senior pupils Briony and Aleena who recently achieved Silver Level CREST Awards. These awards are presented by the British Science Association for work on individual science projects. Briony focussed her studies on the evolution of the camera, researching how science has played a key role in the development of technology. Aleena looked at DNA and the scientific and ethical implications of Genetic Modification and Gene Therapy. You can see their results on display in the science department.

Both girls received fantastic feedback from their assessors and are hoping to continue their involvement by registering themselves as STEM ambassadors. This will allow them to supervise younger pupils in science investigations. Briony and Aleena are also applying for summer work placements with the Nuffield Foundation.

Good luck girls!
