Admittedly, this can seem like a bit of a minefield, meeting application deadlines, completing paperwork etc. SAAS are running an event to try to simplify this process for parents\/carers.<\/p>\n<p>These free sessions will run from the 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to the 13<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0December and can booked here\u00a0<a id=\"LPlnk283105\" href=\"https:\/\/buytickets.at\/studentawardsagencyscotlan\/1065324\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">https:\/\/buytickets.at\/studentawardsagencyscotlan\/1065324<\/a><\/p>\n<p>These sessions will:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>explain the funding available from SAAS for those planning to undertake higher education courses (HNC\/HND\/Degree courses); and<\/li>\n<li>provide information on the repayment of student loans; and<\/li>\n<li>provide advice on how and when to submit a funding application to SAAS; and<\/li>\n<li>have a funding awareness advisor available who can answer any questions that attendees may have.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your young person is planning to go to college or university at the end of this school session, then this is definitely for you.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Student Award Agency Scotland (SAAS) handles all the fees, funding and loan situation for pupils going into further\/higher education.
