{"id":8836,"date":"2021-06-24T08:37:44","date_gmt":"2021-06-24T08:37:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/?p=8836"},"modified":"2021-06-24T08:37:44","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T08:37:44","slug":"senior-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/2021\/06\/24\/senior-event\/","title":{"rendered":"SENIOR EVENT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the school was determined to celebrate the departure of our fantastic senior pupils as they embark on the next stage of their lives in a Covid-secure leavers event.\u00a0 This year\u2019s leavers event was hosted at the school rather than at an external location, taking place on Friday 11<sup>th<\/sup> June between 2pm and 5pm. The senior pupils grabbed the opportunity to wear their prom dresses and suits and were treated to a fantastic afternoon which celebrated their many successes throughout their time at Braidhurst. A welcome from Head Teacher Mrs Carolyn Rooney and Depute Head Teacher for S5-6 Mr David Gardiner followed by aa photo montage which captured everyone\u2019s journey through Braidhurst from S1 to senior school. Afterwards food was served and photographs taken at the outdoor balloon wall. The event finished with the distribution of awards and a quiz.
