{"id":7383,"date":"2020-01-16T21:34:44","date_gmt":"2020-01-16T21:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/?p=7383"},"modified":"2020-01-16T21:34:44","modified_gmt":"2020-01-16T21:34:44","slug":"scottish-fa-jd-performance-school-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/2020\/01\/16\/scottish-fa-jd-performance-school-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"SCOTTISH FA JD PERFORMANCE SCHOOL VISIT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday 8<sup>th<\/sup> January the school welcomed to school the Deputy First Minister John Swinney, Scottish FA representatives Rod Petrie, \u00a0Brian McLaughlin and Malky Mackay, Motherwell and Wishaw MSP Clare Adamson, Deputy Leader of North Lanarkshire Council Councillor Kelly, Convenor of Education &amp; Families\u00a0 Councillor McNally and Education Officer Anne Munroe, amongst others, for a Scottish FA JD Performance School visit.<\/p>\n<p>The event opened with a presentation and Q&amp;A from Brian McLaughlin and Malky Mackay which was followed by current performance school players, Shay Nevans, Jack Bell, Jacob Blaney and Alastair Small sharing their perspective of the programme. Former pupils Leon McCann and Cameron Williamson were also on hand to offer their experience as well.<\/p>\n<p>Head Teacher Mrs Rooney and Principal Teacher of P.E Mr \u00a0O\u2019Neill also spoke to the gathered audience about the many successes of the programme before the visitors were given a tour of the school, which included S6 pupil Jay Blakeway showcasing the school\u2019s \u2018Developing the Young Workforce\u2019 Learner Journey wall.
