{"id":6397,"date":"2018-08-28T14:54:48","date_gmt":"2018-08-28T14:54:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/?p=6397"},"modified":"2018-08-28T14:54:48","modified_gmt":"2018-08-28T14:54:48","slug":"new-absence-management-procedures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/2018\/08\/28\/new-absence-management-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"New Absence Management Procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Parent\/Carer,<\/p>\n<p>As previously stated, ensuring the highest levels of attendance is of paramount importance to us at Braidhurst High School and we have the expectation that absence from school will be a rare occurrence.\u00a0 In the event of unavoidable absence, the procedures for reporting this are outlined below;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the <strong>first day<\/strong> of absence, please contact the school by telephone on 01698 274999 or e-mail office@braidhurst.n-lanark.sch.uk, advising pupil name, class, reason for absence and expected length of absence.<\/li>\n<li>Should the absence last longer than indicated you must repeat the process outlined above.<\/li>\n<li>If you fail to notify the school of your child\u2019s absence, it is likely that you will receive a text message followed by a phone call from their Principal Teacher of Pupil Support, for you to clarify the reason for this.<\/li>\n<li>On return to school, Absence Notes should be posted into the Absence Notes Post Boxes, located in the Foyer and Guidance Base.<\/li>\n<li>Permitted Absences should be arranged at least 24hrs in advance and can be obtained from the school\u2019s office staff.
