Braidhurst S2 football squad travelled to Toryglen to face Holyrood High School in their Scottish Cup tie. After a closely contested opening Holyrood took the lead before Reece McAlear’s long range free kick levelled the scores before half time. Although the boys were the better team in the second half they found themselves 2-1 down which was against the run of play. However, they showed immense character and equalised again with Max McGuigan levelling the score with a magnificent lob. The match went to penalties and all five spot kicks for Braidhurst were converted meaning they are successfully through to the Quarter- Finals with a 5-4 win with Jamie Smith saving the decisive penalty.
