Braidhurst High held a special remembrance service on Tuesday 11th<\/sup> November when Mr David Ramage one of the school chaplains led proceedings.\u00a0\u00a0 After a poignant introduction by Mr Ramage the pupils viewed a very powerful film depicting scenes from World War 1.\u00a0\u00a0 Jamie Leslie then read a poem entitled \u2018Diners\u2019 followed by a prayer from the Rector Mr Hannan.\u00a0\u00a0 Holly Worton then read a poem called \u2018In Memoriam\u2019 followed by a reading by Marc Armitage.\u00a0\u00a0 Further poetry by Gillian Scott \u2018Now Poppies Grow\u2019 and \u2018So Little Gain\u2019 by Kirsten Cameron proceeded a prayer for peace by Senior Depute Mrs Kathryn Clarke.\u00a0\u00a0 Mr Ramage then delivered a talk on \u2018sacrifice\u2019 which was followed by the symbolic laying down of individual poppies by senior pupils and a closing prayer by Mr Ramage.<\/p>\n
