{"id":2780,"date":"2014-05-14T20:09:54","date_gmt":"2014-05-14T20:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/?p=2780"},"modified":"2014-05-14T20:09:54","modified_gmt":"2014-05-14T20:09:54","slug":"xl-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/2014\/05\/14\/xl-group\/","title":{"rendered":"XL Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been fun and games for Braidhurst High School\u2019s XL pupils this week.\u00a0\u00a0 The pupils, who are members of the school\u2019s Prince\u2019s Trust group, have been organising afternoon activities for the residents of Baillie Court, Motherwell.<\/p>\n<p>Residents have so far enjoyed a tea party with home baked delights and an afternoon of prize bingo.\u00a0\u00a0 The XL pupils, including Elise Moran, Rachel Rodger, Leanne Cook, Niamh Reilly and Reece Platt, have worked hard to make these events successful.\u00a0\u00a0 This project has helped the pupils build intergenerational links in the local community.\u00a0\u00a0 It has been an interesting experience for all involved, with stories ranging from weekly wages and \u2018the belt\u2019 to \u2018loom bands\u2019 and Britain\u2019s Got Talent.\u00a0\u00a0 The XL group hope to continue to visit and learn from the residents and have already invited them to the upcoming school musical, The Wizard of Oz.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s been fun and games for Braidhurst High School\u2019s XL pupils this week.\u00a0\u00a0 The pupils, who are members of the school\u2019s Prince\u2019s Trust group, have been organising afternoon activities for the residents of Baillie Court, Motherwell.
