{"id":2432,"date":"2013-12-20T11:02:41","date_gmt":"2013-12-20T11:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/?p=2432"},"modified":"2013-12-20T11:02:54","modified_gmt":"2013-12-20T11:02:54","slug":"christmas-cracker-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/2013\/12\/20\/christmas-cracker-3\/","title":{"rendered":"CHRISTMAS CRACKER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--[if gte mso 9]&gt;  800x600  &lt;![endif]--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 42.3pt\"><span>The school hall was packed to capacity on Wednesday 18<sup>th<\/sup> December for the annual Christmas concert.<span> <\/span>Following a warm welcome from the Rector Mr Derrick Hannan, the audience joined in singing \u2018The First Noel\u2019 which was followed by the wind band playing \u2018You\u2019d Better Watch Out\u2019 and \u2018Jingle Bells\u2019.<span> <\/span>Members from the drama department then performed a sketch entitled \u20182 Wise Dudes!\u2019<span> <\/span>The audience was then entertained by the very talented choir from Logans Primary School who performed \u2018We Wish You a Merry Christmas\u2019 and \u2018I Was a Hippopotamus for Christmas\u2019.<span> <\/span>The school guitar ensemble then played \u2018El Noy de la Miare\u2019 followed by Dale Archibald with his version of \u2018The Christmas Fairy\u2019.<span> <\/span>The school choir then sang \u2018Let\u2019s go to Bethlehem\u2019 and \u2018Holiday Favourites\u2019 followed by the audience singing, \u2018Twelve days of Christmas\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 42.3pt\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 42.3pt\"><span>Following an interval, Mr Hannan announced the winners from the raffle before the Logans Choir entertained the audience by performing \u2018Do I hear what I hear?\u2019 and \u2018We Wish You a Merry Christmas\u2019.<span> <\/span>Members of the drama department then performed an excellent \u2018Faulty towers Spoof\u2019, followed by Dale Archibald singing the old favourite \u2018Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas\u2019.<span> <\/span>The volume was then increased when the school samba band played \u2018Christmas Festival\u2019 followed by an outstanding performance by the choir singing \u2018Silent Night\u2019.<span> <\/span>The wind band then played \u2018Somewhere in my Memory\u2019 from \u2018Home Alone\u2019 before the vocal duet of Sam Bell and Hannah Allan singing \u2018A Mother\u2019s Prayer\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 42.3pt\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 42.3pt\"><span>The drama department then entertained the audience with their next sketch entitled \u2018God Angels\u2019 before Mr Hannan gave a very sincere vote of thanks highlighting the input from staff, members of the PTFA, pupils and especially the Logans Primary School Choir.<span> <\/span>The evening finished in traditional form by the audience joining the pupils in singing \u2018O come All Ye Faithful\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 42.3pt\"><span> <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The school hall was packed to capacity on Wednesday 18th December for the annual Christmas concert.
