{"id":1673,"date":"2013-04-18T07:50:11","date_gmt":"2013-04-18T07:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/?p=1673"},"modified":"2013-04-18T07:50:11","modified_gmt":"2013-04-18T07:50:11","slug":"edinburgh-zoo-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/Braidhurst\/2013\/04\/18\/edinburgh-zoo-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"EDINBURGH ZOO TRIP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\" style=\"margin-right: 1.49cm;margin-bottom: 0cm\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif\">A group of 19 Higher Biology pupils from Braidhurst High braved freezing temperatures to visit Edinburgh Zoo where they spent two hours with one of the zoo\u2019s specialist education officers both inside the education centre and in the zoo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"margin-right: 1.49cm;margin-bottom: 0cm\">\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"margin-right: 1.49cm;margin-bottom: 0cm\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif\">They then visited several enclosures and among the highlights was the chance to see the now world famous pandas, Sunshine and Sweetie.   Pupils were also able to observe first hand dominance hierarchy in chimpanzees in their purpose built, state of the art enclosure, the Budnogo Trail.
