Recently some members of our class participated in a cross country event at Coatbridge. They all did really well and we were proud of them for completing the tough course.
Congratulations to Ryan in our class who made it into the finals day at the end of this month, well done for this great achievement!
We recently celebrated the end of our Judaism topic by sharing a passover meal. We ate a variety of foods from the seder plate and recited a typical Jewish prayer. It was fun tasting different foods although the horseradish sauce wasn’t very popular!
We have been learning about drugs as part of our health and wellbeing programme. We now know the dangers that alcohol and smoking can have on our health. We had fun trying on the body suit and looking at how smoke can affect some of our major organs.
Today we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as one of our favourite book characters. It was great fun! We also enjoyed rotating around classes to listen to the teachers read a story to us. Well done to everyone who took part.

We have been visiting the Book Fair daily this week and lots of us have purchased a variety of fun and interesting books. David Walliams was a popular choice as we like listening to Mrs Rooney reading his books for our class novel.
We have been enjoying Fairtrade fortnight by baking some delicious banana sticks for our ‘St Serf’s Banana Bake Off’. We even took home a copy of the recipe to try it out at home. Happy baking!
