SCHOOL VISION, VALUES and AIMS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whitehirst Park Primary\u2019s Vision, Values and Aims underpin everything we do. They are at the heart of our curriculum, extra curricular activities and the way we interact with each other.<\/p>\n

At Whitehirst Park Primary our children, staff, parents and community partners work together to promote a culture of mutual respect and lifelong learning where children are happy, motivated and have high self-esteem and confidence to enable them to realise their potential.<\/p>\n

We aspire to provide the highest quality of learning and teaching in order that our children and young people will develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to succeed in our changing society.<\/p>\n

We have high standards in all that we do, which are reflected in our Values and Aims:<\/p>\n

Ambition<\/strong> \u2013 We have high expectations, we believe, we can and we are determined to succeed.<\/p>\n

Respect<\/strong> \u2013 We are honest and trustworthy. We value others rights, differences, feelings and property. We are polite, have good manners and treat others with dignity.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>SCHOOL INFORMATION <\/strong><\/p>\n

2024-25<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whitehirst Park Primary School opened in 1975, the school is designed on semi open-plan lines.\u00a0 The single-storey building is a brick-built, flat-roofed structure comprising fourteen classrooms and a variety of other facilities including a gymnasium\/ assembly hall, medical room and dining room, all of which provide bright, attractive and spacious accommodation for staff and children. An extension to the Infant Department was completed in August 2010 and provides 2 additional classrooms and a break out area.\u00a0 The playground is mainly tarmac with a larger grassy area at the rear of the school outside the perimeter fence.\u00a0 The school role is currently 275.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The school staff is comprised of a Head Teacher, one Depute Head Teacher, two Principal Teachers and 15 other teaching members of staff . Teaching staff are supported in their work by a team of 2 full time education business assistants and\u00a0 7 classroom assistants. One Pupil Support\u00a0 teacher provides full time support within the school.\u00a0 The school benefits from various music specialists who teach a number of pupils from P3 \u2013 7 to play a variety of instruments including violin and cello.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have a very active Parent Council and Fundraising Committee.\u00a0 In previous sessions a wide variety of successful events raised funds for the school such as \u201cWhitehirst In The Park\u201d and discos for pupils at all stages.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We annually endeavour to provide a wide variety of school clubs. \u00a0In previous sessions these included netball, football, badminton,\u00a0 dancing, drawing, choir, art, athletics,\u00a0 and coding.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our school is nurturing and welcoming and our pupils respond well to the\u00a0 environment and with staff.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
