young people by offering the right help at the right time from the right people. Children who have been receiving additional support have specific targets set each term and these are shared with parents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHILD\u2019S PLANS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children who require more detailed additional support from agencies outwith the school require a statutory \u2018Child\u2019s Plan\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 ensures a single planning framework \u2013 a Child\u2019s Plan \u2013 will be available for children who require extra support that is not generally available to address a child or young person\u2019s needs and improve their wellbeing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scottish Government<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>What is a Child&#8217;s Plan?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Every plan, should include and record:<\/p>\n<p>information about the child\u2019s wellbeing needs including the views of the child and their parent(s);<br \/>\ndetails of the action to be taken;<br \/>\nthe service(s) that will provide the support;<br \/>\nthe way in which the support is to be provided;<br \/>\nthe outcome that the plan aims to achieve; and<br \/>\nwhen the plan should be reviewed.<\/p>\n<p>If a child requires a \u2018Child\u2019s Plan\u2019 then parents will be informed immediately and invited to the school to discuss and review the plan, in the form of a \u2018Team Around the Child (TAC)\u2019 meeting or formal review meeting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHILD PROTECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Child Protection is an on going focus each session and staff continue to receive regular training and updates, ensuring we are getting it right for every child. Staff have also received training with regards to Child Exploitation.
