They also develop an understanding of their environment and how it has been shaped.<\/p>\n<p>The key areas of study in Social studies are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People, past events and societies<\/li>\n<li>People, place and environment<\/li>\n<li>People in society, economy and business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Religious and Moral Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children are taught about Christianity and other world religions.
