The trip allows pupils to witness some of the world\u2019s most dramatic physical geography first-hand, bringing many of the topics studied in class to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, pupils explore the volcanic landscapes of the Reykjanes Peninsula, stand at the Bridge Between the Continents, and experience geothermal activity at Gunnuhver, Geysir and the hot springs of Hverager\u00f0i. In the past the itinerary also included visits to spectacular waterfalls such as Seljalandsfoss and Sk\u00f3gafoss, the glaciers of S\u00f3lheimaj\u00f6kull, the black sand beaches of Reynisfjara, and the famous tectonic setting of Thingvellir National Park. Alongside the geographical learning, pupils enjoy experiencing Icelandic culture and the vibrant city of Reykjav\u00edk, creating memories that will last a lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
