REMOTE LEARNING

As part of our Contingency Plan to support your child’s education during school closure, all children were issued with / sent a Contingency Pack as follows:

  • Login details for Sumdog (white paper)
  • Login details for Educationcity (yellow paper)
  • Login details for GLOW (blue laminated card)
  • Login details for NESSY (pink paper) – please note that not all children use this application
  • Instructions for parents/carers on how to access GLOW – called Tips for GLOW (white paper)
  • Summary of suggested activities for parents/carers (green paper)
  • Single Word Spelling Test–Structured Spelling Lists Levels 1-7 (cream paper)

Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher and Class Teachers are all part of a GLOW group for each class.  We will communicate with classes via GLOW.   We are aware that not all children have internet access and would direct parents/carers to the summary of suggested activities which was included in the Contingency Pack.

Class Teachers will provide daily tasks for their class with a focus on Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.  These tasks will be sent to all children via their Glow account. Mrs Macnamara, Pupil Support Teacher and Mrs Hand, Nurture Teacher will also continue to support children they normally work with during school closure.  Please remember we are not expecting your child to be working all day, every day. We are confident our parents will be delivering life-long education through quality family time spent together.
