Ask for the Young Scot logo to be included on your OneScotland National Entitlement card in your application.<\/p>\n<p>In North Ayrshire you can use your card:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>as a <a class=\"sys_0 sys_t591179\" title=\"Pay for school meals\" href=\"https:\/\/www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk\/education-and-learning\/school-meals\/pay-for-school-meals.aspx\">catering card<\/a>\u00a0in secondary school and some primary school dining halls<\/li>\n<li>to access our <a class=\"sys_0 sys_t590690\" title=\"libraries\" href=\"https:\/\/www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk\/libraries\/libraries.aspx\">library service<\/a><\/li>\n<li>to\u00a0get concessionary travel \u2013 1\/3 off single bus and rail fares and if you live on Arran or Cumbrae, you can\u00a0get 2 free return journeys to the mainland every year (for <a class=\"sys_16\" title=\"Project Scotland website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.projectscotland.co.uk\/\">full time volunteers<\/a> aged 19 to 25 years and young people aged 16 to 18 years). To ask about the travel scheme, <a class=\"sys_16\" title=\"Email Young Person Transport Scotland\" href=\"mailto:yp@transportscotland.gsi.gov.uk\">email Transport Scotland<\/a> or call 0141 272 7170.<\/li>\n<li>to get Young Scot discounts and special offers in over 1,500 shops and services across Scotland and 80,000 across Europe<\/li>\n<li>as proof of age<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How can I get a NEC?<\/h3>\n<h4>Moving to S1<\/h4>\n<p>Every P7 child in North Ayrshire will receive a form in Spring. The information on this form must be checked, changed if necessary, signed on behalf of any pupils under the age of 12 and returned to your school by the specified date.<\/p>\n<p>Pictures for the card will be taken at primary school and the finished card will be sent to the pupil\u2019s home address in time for starting secondary school.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Rules &amp; regulations<\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019re the only person allowed to use your NEC. It\u2019s not transferable. Allowing someone else to use it is fraud.
