The UN Convention of the Rights of the Child also states that all children have a right to play (article 31), as well being heard (articles 12), being safe and healthy (article 29).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For play pedagogy to be effective, research has shown that a clear rationale and shared understanding of the value of play is essential.
