Practice writing and spelling the words in a variety of different ways. Please read the book and answer the bug questions which accompany the book.<\/p>\n<p>Dictionaries &#8211; <em><strong>When Will the Sun go out?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Demon Dentists &#8211; <em><strong>Real Life: Artists<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>How to Train Your Dragon &#8211; <em><strong>Big Cats<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Diary of a Wimpy Kid &#8211; <em><strong>How to be a Sports Star<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Optional: Are there any non-fiction books\/topics you would like access to in class? If so, let me know on the comments page of the blog and I will try get them added to our class library.<\/p>\n<p>Education City: This week I have set 3 numeracy tasks centered around estimation and rounding and 2 literacy tasks focusing on questioning and inferring. I apologise if some of the tasks last wek were too difficult for some, hopefully this weeks tasks are more achievable. If there are any questions or concerns please feel free to email me anytime!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Numeracy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sumdog: This week I have set a Times Tables practice and revision challenge. See if you can complete all the questions. If you do design an entry for the competition please email it either to myself or directly to Mrs Gaw (<strong>gw09gawfiona@ea.n-ayrshire.sch.uk<\/strong>):<\/p>\n<p>Hi everyone!<\/p>\n<p>The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on the 31 October \u2013 12 November 2021.\u00a0 The COP26 summit will bring together parties to help accelerate action towards the goals in the Paris Agreement and the UN Convention on Climate Change.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main aims of COP26 will be to have all countries commit to helping to secure Global Net Zero by 2050 and keep 1.5 degrees within reach.\u00a0 A big contributor to these high level aims will be to overhaul travel habits and transportation.\u00a0 <em><strong>As part of the Scottish Government\u2019s sustainable transport plans, the Climate Change Team (supported by Road Safety Scotland), are holding a competition to increase awareness of how our transport choices impact on our environment and our health.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>As part of the competition, pupils are being asked to design a logo to show what a greener transport future would look like.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0I wondered if we could possibly do this as a homework exercise or feel free to do in class if that suits better.\u00a0 Please send any completed entries to me by Friday 24th September if possible.
