Literacy

Literacy includes reading and writing but is underpinned by speaking and listening. To quote the educationalist James Britton: “Reading and writing float on a sea of talk.”

Learning English is about learning to use language to communicate as readers, writers, speakers and listeners.

In P4/5 we aim to help pupils become independent readers and writers, confident speakers and active listeners

  2. Hi Mrs Manning

Charlie’s mum here. We have had a look at this week’s work and I am wondering where the challenges are set in sumdog. Is it just the ‘play for 30mins’ ? Also you have asked to focus on money?? How does he do that – does he just play the games??

Also can’t find class teams page on glow to add comments?

    Thanks

    Leanne Hood

    1. Hi Leanne the Sum dog challenges will appear tomorrow as that was the start date. Check in challenges. The class teams is located in charlies glow email. If he logs in to his glow email account he should click on the wee square of dots on top left hand corner of page. Apps will open up and he should pick teams. This will open up P4/5 Mrs Manning team.
I hope this helps Leanne and you are well. Take care.
