We have been looking at monitoring this week in class. We have discussed lots of different strategies that we can use to help us make sure we understand what we are reading. Can you create a poster or presentation explaining some of these strategies? You could do it in your jotter, on paper, a tablet or a laptop. Here is some of the examples we have seen in class. When you have created your poster, you can bring it in to show everyone else or you could email it to me and I will share it.<\/span><\/h6>\n

You are all doing amazing with your times tables! I am very impressed at how quickly you have picked it up. This week we are going to carry on with this and practice our chimney multiplication sums. Remember to set them out correctly with HTU in the correct column. Also 1 digit per box.<\/span><\/h6>\n

Topic – Kilwinning<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n
We have been asked this term to complete a fact file all about Kilwinning. We have visitors coming to school and we will be going out and about in the local area to find out all we can about Kilwinning.\u00a0<\/span><\/h6>\n
This week I would like you to ask someone at home if they know anything about Kilwinning and write down some things you learn. Some of our friends and family might know a bit about the history or geography, however many of our families are not from Kilwinning and don’t know much. In this case, can you think of some questions that you would like to ask our visitor from Kilwinning Abbey on Thursday?<\/span><\/h6>\n
