Hi Guys and Girls!
I might not be in class this week but I am still here if you need any help. Be good for Mrs Rowan and I will hopefully see you all next week.
Spelling
Here are this weeks spelling words. Keep practicing those spelling patterns.
Reading
Keep practicing your Scottish poems! I am so impressed at how fast you have all been learning them. There are only a couple of weeks left before we need to find the finalists for the school competition. You all have the ability to go all the way.
I would like everyone to log into BugClub again this week and choose a book that interests you. I can see that almost everyone has logged on this week and read a book. Remember to answer all the bugs so I can see that you understand what you are reading.
Numeracy
Well done to those of you who completed the SumDog Challenge or the Education City games last week. We all seem to be getting better with money, let’s keep practicing.
This week I am going to set up the same activities. If you played SumDog last week, you should try to play the Education City games and vice versa.
SumDog – complete 100 questions.
Education City – I have sequenced up to 8 games, getting harder as you make your way through. P3s I would like you to try and win at least 4 games. P4s I would like you to try and win at least 6 games. Do your best and don’t worry if it’s a bit difficult we can always go over it again in school.
DrEAMNA
Don’t forget to get out and about for Mrs Robertson and Miss Johnstone’s Drop Everything And Move Challenge. Here is reminder:
Miss Johnstone’ and Mrs Robertson’s January 2022 homework Challenge
DrEAM (Drop Everything and Move) is North Ayrshire’s approach to encouraging people to have fun, while living healthier and more active lives.
Your Challenge: Through January, share with us a photograph of yourself/family being active (after school/weekend) – for example going for a walk/run, at a club, exercising at home etc.
Tweet your photo tagging @WhitehirstPs or send it to Miss Johnstone (who will tweet it directly) gw09johnstonelouise@glow.sch.uk
We look forward to seeing all your January ‘active’ photographs.
