This week we have continued our Scots’ language work. We enjoyed reading Maggie’s Monsters and learning the names of animals in Scots. We have continued learning about Nouns and we’ve learned all about Verbs. We’ve also been working on o’clock and half past times. There’s been lots of lovely pictures sent in for the Health and Wellbeing work. Keep up the good work Primary 2!

Round up of the Week 18.1.21
Primary 2 have had an actioned packed week. We’ve continued working on big numbers to 121 and we’ve been counting in 5s. We learned about 3D shapes and took part in a shape hunt around the home.
We’ve learned about nouns and we’ve practised using “a” or “an”. We enjoyed a Scottish word quiz and had to identify what the different words were in Scots.
We continued our Scotland topic work with tattie scones and tablet being made; Scotland flags and Nessie origami too! We’ve even had weather report for Scotland!
Well done to Primary 2 and all the parents for making it happen! See you all again next week!
Round up of the Week 11.1.21
What a busy week we’ve had!
We’ve been learning about all things Scotland and there’s been lots of baking going on across Kilwinning! I’ve had some great drawings of Robert Burns sent in and lots of Scotland Flags.
In Numeracy, we’ve been keeping our counting skills up to date and we’ve been learning about 2D shape, in particular, learning to classify shapes by sides and vertices.
In Literacy, we took part in a syllable challenge, we wrote a description of a parrot, and we kept our reading skills in tip top condition with reading comprehension.
We’ve also logged into Education City, Bug Club and Sumdog, not to mention taking part in one live lesson every day!
Here are just a few photographs from this week. Well done everyone!
