Term 2

This term we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes. We have been learning the names of shapes, the properties of shapes such as whether they roll or stack for 3D shapes or if they tile for 2D shapes. We have looked at shapes in the environment around us and looked for real life examples.

In number we have been looking at rounding numbers to the nearest 10. We have been counting forwards and backwards in 10s and also learning about odd and even numbers and how to recognise them. We have learned about ordinal numbers and how to match 1st to first and so on. We have also had a focus on addition and subtraction and counting using a numberline and mentally.
