Welcome to our home school learning page for Term 3.
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a lovely holiday.
Unfortunately, at the moment we are not able to return to school and I am saddened that we will not be able to come together in the classroom like we are used to .
However, in the meantime, we will be doing activities in the comfort of your own home. We will also be having some online group calls and lessons too.
Weekly work
The task for the week will be posted onto the blog on a Sunday night. Each day will have a Literacy, Numeracy and IDL/HWB task.
I have posted a suggested timetable for the week. This also details when LIVE VIDEO CALLS will be. Please note, the timings are what we follow in school for Literacy and Numeracy. These do not need to be followed at home.
NCCT is time for me to plan and prepare lessons and resources.
I am aware that it will not always be possible for you to access the live calls at the times given. It would be great if you can log on but if you miss the calls, all resources will be uploaded on to the blog for you to access in your own time.
Also, you have access to your ‘Home Learning Pack’ which has a square and a lined jotter. These can be used for written tasks when required.
- In your ‘Home Learning Pack’ pack you should have:
- Phase 2 Read and Draw booklet
- Phase 2 CVC Workbook
- Phase 2 ABC Phonics Booklet
- Numbers 1 – 20 Booklet
- Maths Homework Term 4 Booklet
The booklets target learning planned for Term 3 and it is important that you complete these as part of your weekly work program when instructed. The booklets should not be ‘worked through’ and rushed!

KEEPING IN TOUCH
Miss Taylor will be using a platform called Vscene to interact with the class as this allows us all to see each other whilst we are talking unlike on Teams. Teams will however be used for you to be able to post work, pictures and as a chat room.
HOW DO I USE V SCENE?
Vscene is really easy to use!
- Log on to your Glow email account.
- Look for the Vscene link inviting you to a meeting with Miss Taylor.
- Click on the link and this will take you direct to the meeting.
