Our Class Charter!
You might be asking yourself, what is a class charter?
A class charter is a set of rules, promises or guidelines that both the children and I have all agreed on for what we want our classroom to be like.
What do class charters do?
Class charters are created to help children understand that they have rights, how important it is to have rights and to develop their own sense of responsibilities.
Our Class Charter for this year is based on the novel ‘Our Class is a Family’ With its heartfelt message and colorfully illustrations, “Our Class is a Family” is a book I have introudced, that aims to help build and strengthen our class community.
We are learning that our classroom is a place where it’s safe to be ourselves, it’s okay to make mistakes, and it’s important to be a friend to others.
