The Scottish Attainment Challenge is about achieving equity in educational outcomes, with a particular focus on closing the poverty-related attainment gap.

North Ayrshire has been identified as an Attainment Challenge authority and the Professional Learning Academy was established to support practitioners in raising attainment.
