Pennyburn Primary School was built in the early 1970\u2019s. It is a flat roofed, semi-open plan building with generous classroom bases, open activity areas, separate dining room and gym and a large outdoor play area. The\u00a0building is wheelchair accessible. Parents should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised. Currently our\u00a0role is approx. 190 pupils. \u00a0The school covers stages Primary 1 to Primary 7 (ages 4 \u2013 12). It is a non-denominational and co-educational school.<\/p>\n
In August 2023, Kilwinning Early Years Centre was closed and incorporated into Pennyburn Primary School becoming two Early Years Classes within the school.\u00a0 This led to a change in name to Pennyburn Primary School and Early Years Class.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
